Spectrum Healthcare Resources Lands $373M DHA Deal to Provide Medical Care Services

The Defense Health Agency has awarded Spectrum Healthcare Resources a $373 million contract to provide primary and medical specialty care services for Tricare beneficiaries in the National Capital Region.

Under the agreement, the company will help the A.T. Augusta Military Medical Center operate ambulatory care centers, which will cater to active service members and military retirees, including their dependents, the Department of Defense said.

The centers will operate at Fairfax and Dumfries in Virginia to ensure that Tricare beneficiaries can drive to the locations within 30 minutes.

The DHA’s Enterprise Medical Services Contracting Division will obligate $60.6 million in operations and maintenance funds for the contract’s base performance period, which runs for 12 months.

The deal includes four 12-month option periods, extending the work through Aug. 31, 2029.

Earlier in May, Spectrum Healthcare Resources and 10 other companies secured spots on a potential $43 billion DHA contract to provide medical staffing services for U.S. military health care facilities.
