Lynker Books $125M ProTech Oceans Task Order From NOAA’s National Data Buoy Center

Lynker has booked a five-year, $125 million task order the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration awarded under the Professional, Scientific and Technical Services Oceans Domain indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

The company said it will provide NOAA’s National Data Buoy Center with technical services to help it operate and maintain the largest maritime observing network.

As part of NOAA’s National Weather Service, NDBC supplies data for weather, water and climate forecasts, marine transportation, environmental monitoring and research, and coastal recreation and tourism.

The Lynker-led team consisting of ECS, SoFar Ocean and General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) information technology business will be responsible for ensuring continuous data delivery, assembling, repairing and testing mission-related technologies, and guaranteeing facility safety and environmental compliance.

“We look forward to providing end-to-end services and growing this critical national observing capability, which is at the core of NDBC’s mission to protect lives, ensure maritime safety and enhance coastal economies,” said Joe Linza, founder and CEO of Lynker.
