Lockheed Secures $122M MDA Long Range Discrimination Radar Support Contract Extension

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has received a potential $122.4 million contract from the Missile Defense Agency to continue providing systems development, sustainment and test support services for the Long Range Discrimination Radar program.

The Department of Defense said Friday the company will perform work in Moorestown, New Jersey and Clear, Alaska, through March 31, 2027, under the contract extension.

MDA will obligate the full contract amount using research, development, test and evaluation funds for fiscal year 2024.

LRDR is the foundation of MDA’s layered defense strategy designed to protect the U.S. homeland from ballistic missile attacks by providing precision metric data to enhance ballistic defense discrimination.

In April, Lockheed transferred control of the radar at the Clear Space Force Station in Alaska to MDA.
