Lockheed Awarded $227M Army Tactical Missile System Procurement Contract

Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) has secured a potential $226.8 million contract from the U.S. Army to provide Army Tactical Missile System missiles and launching assemblies.

The Department of Defense said Tuesday Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity.

One offer was received for the hybrid contract through an online solicitation.

Work will occur at the company’s facility in Grand Prairie, Texas, through Dec. 30, 2028.

The military branch will obligate the full contract amount using foreign military sales funds for fiscal year 2024.

ATACMS is a long-range, guided missile that can be fired from the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System and Multiple Launch Rocket System M270 platforms and is designed to provide commanders with immediate firepower.
