General Dynamics Subsidiary Receives $181M Navy Contract Modification for Submarine Requirements

General Dynamics‘ (NYSE: GD) Electric Boat subsidiary will continue providing the U.S. Navy with long-lead-time materials in support of the Virginia Class Block VI submarines.

The Department of Defense said Thursday Naval Sea Systems Command awarded a $181 million contract modification to General Dynamics Electric Boat for the requirements.

Work in several Navy and company locations, including California, Pennsylvania and Connecticut, will run through by September 2035.

The Navy will obligate the full contract modification amount from its fiscal 2024 shipbuilding and conversion funds at time of the award.

In October 2023, GD Electric Boat secured a potential $216.5 million Navy contract for materials in support of construction work on two Virginia-class submarines: SSN 814 and SSN 815 fast-attack subs.
