Cognosante Wins $583M GSA Contract to Support Military OneSource Program

Cognosante has won a potential five-year, $582.9 million contract from the General Services Administration to support a program designed to provide service members and their families with a wide array of information and referrals to military and civilian resources and counseling support services through a centralized source.

According to an award notice published Thursday, the company will support the Military OneSource Program, which seeks to provide service personnel and families with unlimited 24/7 access to information, resources and counseling support through the internet, telephone, email, artificial intelligence chatbots and other communication channels.

The contract has a one-year base period and four option years.

In October, GSA released a solicitation for the Military OneSource program.

Task areas include program management, call center operations and support, information technology operations management, counseling and coaching and strategic outreach.

Accenture’s (NYSE: ACN) federal arm is integrating Cognosante’s over 1,500 personnel into its workforce as a result of the transaction.

Falls Church, Virginia-based Cognosante has been providing cloud migration support, program management and technology platforms for federal health care programs supporting veterans, active-duty personnel, providers and other beneficiaries since 2008.
