Mastodon Design, a CACI International (NYSE: CACI) company, has secured an approximately $100 million contract to produce a manpack version of the U.S. Army’s Terrestrial Layer System-Brigade Combat Team platform.
Army Contracting Command is the contracting activity and will determine work locations and funding upon the issuance of individual contract orders, the Department of Defense said Friday.
In September 2023, the CACI subsidiary received an other transaction authority agreement from the Army to build a TLS BCT Manpack prototype for the service branch.
The dismounted version of the TLS BCT electronic warfare system will provide brigade combat team commanders with integrated electronic warfare, signals intelligence and cyber capabilities necessary to support multidomain operations.
DOD expects work to conclude by June 27, 2029.
