Jon Hill Takes on VP & General Manager Role at Lockheed’s MFC Division

Jon Hill, a retired U.S. Navy vice admiral and former director of the Missile Defense Agency, has been named vice president and general manager of the air dominance and strike weapons portfolio at Lockheed Martin‘s (NYSE: LMT) missiles and fire control division.

“It is an honor to join the team that rapidly designs and builds the innovative weapons our warfighters and allies need to deter and defend against adversaries,” Hill wrote in a LinkedIn post published Tuesday.

In his new capacity, Hill will oversee Lockheed’s portfolio of air dominance systems, hypersonic strike and strike systems and cruise missile programs.

According to Hill, Lockheed’s ADSW portfolio is a key part of MFC’s mission to manufacture advanced combat, missile, rocket, manned and unmanned systems for domestic and international military customers.

Hill most recently served as VP and chief engineer for training and logistics solutions at Lockheed’s rotary and mission segment.

He served as deputy director of MDA between 2016 and 2019. His Navy career included time as program executive officer for integrated warfare systems and director of cruiser and destroyer combat systems for PEO IWS.
