Randy Resnick, director of the Zero Trust Portfolio Management Office within the Department of Defense’s Office of the Chief Information Officer, accepted his 2024 Wash100 Award during the Potomac Officers Club’s 2024 Cyber Summit. Executive Mosaic CEO and Wash100 Founder Jim Garrettson presented the recognition.
The Wash100 Award is the most prestigious honor for executives in the government contracting industry. Wash100 winners represent the highest tier of leadership in the field and are chosen for both their past accomplishments and their potential to shape the future of the GovCon space.
Resnick won his first Wash100 Award this year for his work to push the DOD’s zero trust journey forward. He was a key player in the development of the Pentagon’s Zero Trust Architecture Implementation Strategy – which was released in late 2022 – and has since continued to elevate the department’s zero trust capabilities.
“In the past two years, Randy has taken the reins of the DOD’s ambitious zero trust efforts, and he’s now steering the entire defense enterprise toward a more secure, more safe and more trusted future in the cyber realm,” said Garrettson.
In 2023, his accomplishments included reviewing zero trust plans from various DOD components, testing zero trust security and creating zero trust training courses for combatant commands. Read his full profile here.
