Amazon Web Services has secured a $114.5 million contract from Army Contracting Command–Rock Island to provide cloud services at Impact Level 6 to the Army Enterprise Cloud Management Agency.
A notice posted on SAM.gov states that the contract was awarded under the Joint Warfighting Cloud Capability contract vehicle to enable ECMA to provide continued IL6 cloud computing and storage services to 32 existing applications and customers.
ECMA currently offers AWS IL6 services under the Cloud Account Management Optimization other transaction agreement.
AWS and three other commercial cloud vendors secure spots on the $9 billion JWCC indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity cloud procurement vehicle from the Department of Defense in December 2022 to provide military personnel with enterprise-wide cloud offerings.
