Astronics to Produce Radio Test Set TS-4549/T Under $216M Army Contract

Astronics (Nasdaq: ATRO) will manufacture and deliver radio test set TS-4549/T to the U.S. Army under a five-year, $215.5 million firm-fixed-price contract.

The technology company said Monday it will also perform program management and engineering to support the operational readiness of radio communication devices of the Army.

Under the contract, Astronics was awarded a $15.5 million initial delivery order for qualification and low-rate initial production.

According to a Department of Defense release, work is expected to be completed on June 16, 2029, and locations and funding will be determined with each order.

“Our advanced testing solutions are designed to ensure the Army maintains optimal force readiness across its communication infrastructure,” said Peter Gundermann, president and CEO of Astronics. “This contract validates our commitment to supporting our defense customers and substantiates the investments made in our radio test technology.”
