Amy Johanek, formerly area vice president for federal civilian agencies at Splunk, has been appointed VP of federal at identity and access management company Okta (Nasdaq: OKTA), according to her LinkedIn post.
She assumed her new position after leading a team tasked with supporting the mission requirements of federal civilian agencies in the health, science and finance sectors.
Before joining Splunk, Johanek held roles of increasing responsibility at Gartner, including sales leader for the Americas large enterprise, director of executive transition program and client director of federal strategic accounts.
She previously spent nearly 15 years at IBM (NYSE: IBM), where she was a U.S. federal software sales executive focused on the IBM Smarter Government Workforce and Collaboration Solutions software portfolio.
Johanek started her career at the U.S. Commercial Service, the export promotion arm of the Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.
