VSE (Nasdaq: VSEC) has named Tarang Sharma as interim chief financial officer, effective May 27.
The company said Wednesday Sharma, vice president of controllership and corporate development at VSE, will succeed the outgoing Steve Griffin, who will stay as a consultant for three months to ensure a smooth turnover of responsibilities.
John Cuomo, president and CEO of VSE, remarked on the appointment, “As we remain steadfast in our commitment to executing VSE’s strategic plan, I have full confidence in Tarang and his ability to lead VSE’s financial operations on an interim basis.”
Meanwhile, Griffin expressed confidence in Sharma and the entire finance organization’s ability to continue supporting VSE’s next phase of growth.
Sharma joined the company in August 2015 as assistant corporate comptroller and transitioned to VP role in 2021. He worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers before VSE.
VSE’s announcement of the leadership transition coincided with the presentation of the company’s first quarter 2024 results.
