Naval Information Warfare Center Pacific has released a draft solicitation for a small business set-aside contract to provide enterprise support and engineering services for Microsoft products and cloud services to defense and intelligence agencies.
A notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov states that the Microsoft Enterprise Services II—Small Business contract covers strategic guidance, technical support, workshops and assistance with technical issues related to cloud development.
The contract aims to support the Department of Defense in accelerating its migration to the cloud and enabling security and productivity features in Microsoft products and services.
NIWC Pacific also intends to award Microsoft a sole source contract to provide services for its cloud offerings that require direct access to its proprietary source code.
In 2019, Microsoft secured a potential five-year, $1.76B contract to provide engineering services to help DOD software developers and other product teams use knowledge databases, tools and source code as part of the Enterprise Software Initiative.
