NASA has awarded four companies indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contracts worth $6 billion combined as part of the third on-ramp process to the fourth iteration of the Rapid Spacecraft Acquisition program.
The space agency said Friday the vendors selected for On-Ramp III of the RAPID IV contract vehicle will provide spacecraft and related components, equipment and services in support of the agency’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland.
The Rapid IV contract’s On-Ramp III awardees are Argotec, Blue Canyon Technologies, General Atomics and Kongsberg NanoAvionics US.
The multiple-award IDIQ contracts have a base performance period that ends on Aug. 31, 2025, and an option term that will run through the end of August 2030.
In September, NASA released a solicitation for the RAPID IV contract’s On-Ramp III to provide other companies and existing awardees an opportunity to propose new spacecraft designs or update their catalogs.
