The U.S. Navy has awarded a potential $250 million contract modification to the University of Washington’s Applied Physics Laboratory to sustain its provision of research, development, test and evaluation support for Department of Defense programs.
The modification raises the ceiling value of a previously awarded contract to $925.8 million, the Department of Defense said Friday.
In October 2020, APL-UW secured a potential 10-year, $218.8 million contract for RDT&E support for DOD programs.
The lab will continue its support across various domains such as experimental oceanography, acoustic propagation, underwater instrumentation and equipment, marine corrosion, acoustic and related systems, simulations and signal processing and mission-related and public service-oriented R&D until October 2025.
Individual task orders may use funds from various appropriation types, years and DOD program offices and agencies.
