Carrie George, formerly a vice president at L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX), has been named VP, chief financial officer and treasurer at nonprofit research and development company Draper.
George, who brings to the role two decades of aerospace and defense industry experience, will oversee efforts to drive the Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company’s overall growth strategy, Draper said Monday.
Jerry Wohletz, CEO and president of Draper, emphasized that George has served as a trusted adviser to senior executives “with a proven track record of building and integrating teams and managing in matrix environments.”
She most recently served as VP of finance for the space sector within L3Harris’ space and airborne systems segment and oversaw the finance functions for the maritime sector within the company’s integrated mission systems unit.
At L3Harris, George spearheaded strategic pricing decisions to support the implementation of enterprisewide programs and managed profit and loss, working capital and cash flow management.
She spent nearly 15 years at the former Harris Corporation, where she held various roles of increasing responsibility including senior director of finance of the mission networks business unit and finance manager.
