Elton will succeed the retiring Steve Iwicki and oversee expansion efforts in data, space, AUKUS and high-end SETA markets, QinetiQ US said Monday.
He spent over three decades in the U.S. Air Force, retiring as a major general.
Shawn Purvis, president and CEO of QinetiQ US, said Elton’s leadership will be key in driving growth and delivering innovative platforms to customers.
Hess, most recently VP of Far Ridgeline Engagements, will directly work with Puvis as he manages operational initiatives and helps improve business outcomes using new approaches to change management and integration in his new role.
He served in the U.S. Army as a non-commissioned officer and counterintelligence special agent.
Hess brings to the newly created position his leadership experience and dedication to excellence and his “strategic vision and commitment to process improvement will be invaluable as we continue to drive innovation and growth,” Purvis, a 2024 Wash100 awardee, commented.
