The U.S. Army Product Director Aerostats is requesting information on potential industry sources capable of providing production, fielding, sustainment and life cycle support to aerostat systems designed to support intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance missions.
The multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has an estimated value of $3 billion to $4 billion and an ordering period of five to 10 years and covers support for large, medium and tactical Persistence Surveillance Systems Tethered aerostats and Persistent Surveillance Dissemination System of Systems, according to a notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
PD Aerostats is looking to develop lighter-than-air, tethered systems and elevated sensors systems and sensor payloads designed to reduce logistic and operational footprints and meet exportability requirements in support of international programs and foreign military sales.
PSS-T is a multisensor data collection platform that offers 360-degree detection, surveillance, monitoring and targeting capability during interagency, multinational and joint operations.
Interested parties have until May 10 to respond to the request for information.
