The 2024 Wash100 popular vote has a new number one competitor. For the last six weeks, one government contracting industry member, Susan Wedge of IBM, has dominated the top 30 ranking, but she has been displaced to number two for the first time in this year’s edition of the most exciting matchup in GovCon.
This competition pits the 100 winners of the Wash100 Award against each other for a friendly test of who has the most audience support. The award is Executive Mosaic‘s annual recognition of who is shaping the future of the GovCon industry through outstanding leadership, innovation, vision and reliability. Winners are announced in January and the popular vote contest wraps up in late April.

Judi Dotson is currently the number one executive in the popular vote ranking. The Booz Allen president of the global defense sector won the bronze in last year’s competition, and was definitely in contention for the gold at multiple junctures. Congratulations to Dotson and Booz Allen! It’s looking like another fiery couple of months ahead for the two-time consecutive Wash100 recipient.
Dotson’s colleague, Executive Vice President Steve Escaravage, managed to pull off one of the biggest single-week leaps in the last few years of the contest this week, ascending an astonishing 20 spots all the way to number four. This was a huge week for Booz Allen Hamilton.
Two other non-BAH execs a little further down the list also managed large leaps: Microsoft Federal Senior Vice President Candice Ling, a first-time Wash100 Award winner, zoomed up from 22 to 17 in only a week’s time, and the U.S. Army’s Young Bang reentered the top 20 after straying into the 21-30 zone last week. He’s currently at number 18.
Longtime Wash100 staple Anthony Robbins of NVIDIA was new to the top 30 last week and made nice progress this week: he rose six spots to number 22. Another highly decorated awardee — and popular vote favorite — Carahsoft’s Craig Abod crept toward the top 10, with a three-spot jump to number 14.
This week’s results prove that anything is possible in this race! And you, the reader, have all the power. Cast your votes if you haven’t yet and encourage your friends and loved ones to do the same!
