Systecon North America Builds Aircraft Sustainment Decision Framework for Air Force

Systecon North America has developed a system-level decision framework, built on its Opus Suite life cycle management software, to help the U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Command enhance aircraft sustainment efforts.

The company said Wednesday the initiative aims to inform the AMC sustainment activities, operational planning and support processes to optimize agile combat employment operations for the KC-135 aerial refueling tanker and C-17 heavy transport aircraft operating in the Indo-Pacific region.

The decision model uses the Opus Suite’s analytical capabilities to evaluate the system-level performance of the aircraft in various mission environments and action types.

Initial demonstrations show that the model is capable of identifying critical components, depth and range of new readiness spare packages and modeling flight hour success rates based on mission type and location.

“Our innovative decision model promises to enhance mission effectiveness and readiness, reinforcing the Air Force’s operational capabilities,” said Kevin Rhodes, executive vice president at Systecon North America.
