The U.S. Space Force awarded Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) a $444 million contract to help the Space Systems Command modernize space launch instrumentation.
SAIC said Monday it will support the Digital Transformation, Acquisition, Modernization and Modification program, which will benefit Space Launch Delta wings 30 and 45, by providing the expertise needed to update aging launch instrumentation and processes.
DTAMM aims to accelerate mission lift-offs for the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, the Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and other stations in the eastern and western launch range.
“SAIC’s continued partnership with the Space Force is a symbol of our commitment to further space exploration, resilience and crew safety in space ranges in Florida, California and across the United States,” said David Ray, executive vice president of SAIC’s space and intelligence business group.
