Christy Beach, formerly senior vice president of Patriot Group International, has been appointed chief operating officer, succeeding Robert Whitfield, who took on the chief growth officer role at the Warrenton, Virginia-based expeditionary mission support services provider.
Whitfield, who had been COO and member of the board of directors at PGI for the last decade, will oversee strategic growth and business development initiatives in his new capacity, GovCon Wire has learned.
Beach, a 25-year government services industry veteran, assumed her new role on March 1 and will work with Whitfield in advancing PGI growth strategies.
“Christy is among the best in the business. I couldn’t ask for a better partner that enables me to focus 100% on PGI’s growth and assess new ways we can help our customers achieve mission goals,” said Whitfield.
Also commenting on Beach’s appointment, Greg Craddock, chairman and CEO of PGI, remarked, “She is laser-focused on customer mission success and embodies a continuous improvement mindset. We are proud that after 12 years, she continues to choose PGI.”
Before joining PGI in 2012, Beach held roles at SOC, Bechtel and Westinghouse.
PGI is a provider of global security and risk management, training and exercise support, mission support, and special operations and intelligence services to clients across defense, intelligence and private sectors.
