A General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) subsidiary has won a potential $343.7 million contract from the U.S. Navy to provide modernization, repair and maintenance support services for the USS Bataan (LHD 5) Wasp-class amphibious assault ship.
Naval Sea Systems Command launched a full and open competition and received two offers for the USS Bataan (LHD 5) fiscal year 2024 docking selected restricted availability, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
NAVSEA issued a solicitation for the ship’s FY 2024 DSRA in August.
General Dynamics NASSCO–Norfolk will perform work in Norfolk, Virginia, through May 2026.
The firm-fixed-price contract has a base value of approximately $311.2 million.
The service branch is obligating funds using other procurement and operations and maintenance funds for FY 2024.
