Each year, Executive Mosaic goes through a rigorous selection process to determine the top 100 most impactful and promising executives in the federal government and government contracting industry. These high-powered, influential individuals are named to the prestigious Wash100 list and honored not only for their past accomplishments but also for their anticipated future contributions to important government missions.
This marks Sherman’s third consecutive Wash100 Award, which he earned for spearheading efforts to advance the DOD’s digital capabilities, build up a skilled cyber workforce and enhance cybersecurity across the Defense Industrial Base.
“I’m tremendously honored to receive a 2024 Wash100 Award. There are a lot of exceptional leaders and innovative thinkers on that list and I’m humbled to be included in their ranks,” said Sherman of his Wash100 win.
“2024 is going to be a busy year for the Department. We are pushing hard to improve Defense Industrial Base cybersecurity, continue DoD’s digital modernization efforts, implement our Zero Trust approach by the end of FY 2027, and accelerate the deployment of 5G technologies to all installations by the end of CY 2028,” Sherman added. “We are also incredibly excited by future work in dynamic spectrum sharing and JWCC 2.0 that is expected to begin in the coming year.”
