Scott Helmore, a retired U.S. Army colonel, has been named senior vice president of emerging technologies at Bethesda, Maryland-headquartered global systems integrator Tribalco.
He will oversee the development of multidomain products and services, including secure communications, artificial intelligence, edge computing and position, navigation and timing, in support of the Department of Defense’s Joint All Domain Command and Control initiative, Tribalco said.
Helmore has nearly three decades of military experience with a focus on leading the adoption of cyber and emerging technologies across the DOD.
His Army career includes time as product manager for defensive cyber operations within the Program Executive Office for Enterprise Information Systems.
He also helped establish the Army’s AI Innovation Center at Carnegie Mellon University and served as the first military acquisition deputy to the Chief Digital AI Officers Acquisition Executive.
Helmore supported the development of several federal contracts, including the Army’s Cyberspace Operations Broad Requirements Agreement and DOD’s CDAO Tradewinds procurement vehicle.
