General Dynamics Bath Iron Works Hires Eric Masna as Supply Chain & Quality VP

Eric Masna announced that he moved on from his post as vice president of supply chain at FuelCell Energy to take on the role of supply chain and quality VP at General Dynamics‘ Bath Iron Works subsidiary (NYSE: GD).

Since January, he has been responsible for Bath Iron Works’ quality assurance systems and improvements in supply chain management.

Masna started his career in 1997 as commodity manager of forgings at Pratt & Whitney, now a subsidiary of RTX (NYSE: RTX). In 2004, he joined United Technologies before it merged with Raytheon as aerospace commodity manager. He was later promoted to global finance and operations manager of corporate real estate.

He spent three years at Hamilton Sundstrand leading its global sourcing strategy for aerospace forgings, castings and raw materials. In 2010, he became global sourcing director of medical devices at Covidien, which was acquired by Medtronic in 2015.

Prior to FuelCell Energy, Masna worked at aerospace component manufacturer Triumph Group for nearly 10 years, serving in various positions including VP of aerospace supply chain.
