In 2023, Goodman was recognized by Executive Mosaic for promoting employment opportunities in the technology sector, as well as for supporting the U.S. government’s digital transformation programs.
He continues to lead the Accenture subsidiary in its information technology advancement efforts. In June, the company won a potential 10-year, $329 million contract to assist in risk management, threat intelligence and other information assurance areas at the U.S. Agency for International Development’s Bureau of Management.
“To accomplish its humanitarian mission to reduce poverty and strengthen democratic governance, USAID relies on a vast network of partners and a complex technology ecosystem capable of addressing overseas challenges,” Goodman said at the time. “Accenture Federal Services is honored to be entrusted with protecting the systems that form the framework of USAID’s enterprise operational capacity.”
The government services-focused company also spent the past 12 months establishing centers of excellence for next-generation technologies. In April, it joined the artificial intelligence movement in its creation of a Federal Generative AI Center of Excellence.

But how people are using it right now is just the beginning,” Goodman commented. “We can already see that this technology is poised to shape the future of science, enterprise data and how we design and deliver solutions for federal missions.”
In October, Accenture Federal Services collaborated with Google Public Sector and Mandiant (Nasdaq: MNDT) to launch a CoE for cybersecurity, which aims to expedite online threat detection and response across government agencies. Google agreed to lend its cloud services and AI-powered security platforms, while Mandiant is powering the CoE with its proprietary threat intelligence capabilities.
“Today’s federal missions demand next-generation cybersecurity solutions that can pre-empt and detect threats and assure the reliability of our nation’s critical systems,” Goodman remarked during the launch of the Cybersecurity CoE.
He also discussed the collaborative project in an interview on GovCon Wire, saying, “The combination of Mandiant’s threat intelligence and Google Cloud’s AI-powered tools with our human-centered cyber services will help keep our clients ahead of the sophisticated cyberattacks.”
As committed as the company is to its growth and expansion, Accenture Federal Services is also dedicated to elevating small businesses. In 2023, it awarded its annual Small Business of the Year award to FSS Government Solutions, a woman-owned consulting firm specializing in IT program and portfolio management.
