Ryan Macaleer, a more than two-decade IBM (NYSE: IBM) veteran, has been appointed vice president of software for the federal sector at the information technology services provider.
“I’m excited to share that I’m stepping back into federal to lead IBM’s software business. Our growth across the federal marketplace has accelerated especially with respect to hybrid cloud and [artificial intelligence],” Macaleer wrote in a LinkedIn post published Wednesday.
He most recently served as IBM’s Americas software sales VP, responsible for delivering artificial intelligence for IT operations and integration software across the North and South American markets.
His over two-decade career at IBM also includes time as director of worldwide digital business automation within the hybrid cloud software division, worldwide sales leader for the API Economy portfolio and business unit executive of federal hybrid cloud software.
