Institute for Defense Analyses will continue providing a range of services in support of the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Chiefs of Staff, combatant commands and defense agencies under a $180 million contract modification from the Washington Headquarters Services.
The award raised the contract’s ceiling from $950.7 million to $1.13 billion, which could be reached if all options are exercised, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Services include research, analyses, technical evaluation, as well as test and evaluation support. Work will cover a comprehensive evaluation of national security issues and will involve helping the DOD determine its needed capabilities and how they can be applied.
IDA, a nonprofit corporation that operates federally funded research and development centers, will perform services at its headquarters in Alexandria, Virginia, through June 30, 2024.
The initial contract was announced in March 2019.
