The Department of Energy’s Office of Environmental Management plans to award Hanford Mission Integration Solutions a potential $1.3 billion contract modification in March to continue providing cleanup operations support and other infrastructure services at the Hanford site.
Increasing the ceiling value of the Hanford Mission Essential Services Contract through the single-source modification will enable the contractor to continue performing full operations at the site and could lead to additional subcontracting opportunities for small businesses, according to a special notice published Friday on SAM.gov.
Failure to raise the contract’s ceiling could impact DOE’s ability to back other Hanford contractors to meet the Tri-Party Agreement’s mission requirements, the notice reads.
Hanford Mission Integration Solutions is a joint venture of Constellis subsidiary Centerra, Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) and Parsons (NYSE: PSN).
In December 2019, the company received a potential 10-year, $4 billion contract from DOE for Hanford site services and cleanup support.
