Dell’s Federal Business Lands $93M Army VMware Software Maintenance Contract

A Dell Technologies (NYSE: DELL) subsidiary has received a three-year, $92.8 million contract to help the U.S. Army maintain virtual machine software.

Dell Federal Systems will provide VMware software and software maintenance services to the service branch under the firm-fixed-price contract, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Army Contracting Command received three bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via the internet and obligated the exact contract amount in the service branch’s fiscal 2024 operation and maintenance funds.

Work will occur at Fort Belvoir in Virginia through Jan. 22, 2027.

Dell has been providing software maintenance to support the Army’s VMWare virtualization licenses under a $93.03 million contract set to expire on Jan. 28.
