BL Harbert International has secured a potential three-year, $206.6 million contract to build a weapons generation facility for the U.S. Air Force’s B-21 strategic bomber aircraft.
The Army Corps of Engineers awarded the contract for the construction of the military facility at Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota, according to a notice posted Thursday on SAM.gov.
A separate announcement from the Department of Defense states that work is expected to be completed by Jan. 27, 2027.
USACE received two bids for the firm-fixed-price contract and will obligate $37.8 million in base contract amount from the Air Force’s fiscal 2023 military construction funds.
B-21 is a Northrop Grumman-built (NYSE: NOC) sixth-generation aircraft with stealth technology to support intercontinental strategic long-range capabilities.
