Samuel Swearingen has taken on the position of vice president of federal business development at Astrion, a services provider supporting defense, government, homeland, intelligence, science and space sectors.
He announced on LinkedIn Thursday his move, transitioning from Deloitte, where he served as advisory specialist leader of the company’s transaction and business analytics area. He assumed the new role in July 2023.
Swearingen brings over 15 years of experience from his tenure at Booz Allen Hamilton (NYSE: BAH), where he held associate and senior associate positions.
His career also includes working as a deputy program manager at Jacobs (NYSE: J) as well as an environmental scientist at the Department of the Army.
The Oasis Systems-ERC combination has adopted the name Astrion with a focus on helping defense, space and civilian government agencies address cybersecurity, mission support, systems engineering and digital challenges. It named Dave Zolet, a three-decade government technology industry veteran and a four-time Wash100 awardee, as CEO.
