Fenix Group is a privately held company focused on developing 3rd Generation Partnership Project-based tactical communications systems that support military applications by delivering low-latency, high-speed data connectivity to devices and users, Nokia said Tuesday.
Fenix’s products include the Banshee family of 4G network-in-a-box offerings and a MANET device called Talon.
“The acquisition of Fenix Group is an important milestone in our strategy to grow our defense business,” said Tommi Uitto, president of mobile networks at Nokia.
