J.P. Donovan Construction, Precision Fabricating and Cleaning Co. and Engraver Metal Fabricators have won spots on a potential three-year, $100 million contract to produce ground support equipment for the Artemis lunar missions.
NASA said Thursday it chose Florida-based companies to work on the fabrication of the components, which will be delivered to the Kennedy Space Center.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract involves fabricating as well as packaging, assembling and testing of the ground systems and other hardware.
The three companies will be responsible for labor, facilities, materials, equipment and management support needed in the project.
J.P. Donovan is based in Rockledge, Florida, and specializes in design-build, civil and aerospace construction.
The Precision Companies is headquartered in Cocoa, Florida and has six decades of experience providing fabrication and other mechanical services to the state’s Space Coast.
