Under the advance acquisition award, Sikorsky will provide parts and components needed to manufacture 21 CH-53K aircraft for the Marine Corps, the Department of Defense said Friday.
Naval Air Systems Command, the contracting activity, will obligate the full contract amount from the Navy’s fiscal 2024 aircraft procurement funds.
Sikorsky will perform work in Stratford, Connecticut, through March 2025.
In December 2022, the Navy transitioned the CH-53K program to full-rate production, which could ramp up production of the aircraft to more than 20 units on an annual basis.
