The company said Tuesday it will continue to modernize the facility into an advanced chemical processing site under a potential 10-year, $8.8 billion contract.
The Holston Army plant, which manufactures high explosive composite mixture IMX-101, has been under BAE’s management since 1999.
BAE Systems Ordnance Systems also oversees military propellant producer Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Virginia.
