Raytheon to Supply Assemblies, Parts for Evolved Seasparrow Missile Production Under $94M Navy Award

An RTX (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary will provide the U.S. Navy and foreign partners with guided missile assemblies, shipping containers and spares to meet the fiscal 2023 requirements of the Evolved Seasparrow Missile Block 2 program under a $94.1 million contract modification.

Raytheon secured a potential $1.28 billion award in September 2021 for providing full-rate production services for the program spanning fiscal years 2021 to 2023.

The Department of Defense said Friday contract work is scheduled until March 2027 at various locations within and outside the U.S., with the majority of work to occur at Raytheon’s Tucson, Arizona site.

Raytheon will extend its operations to Australia, Canada, Denmark, Germany, Greece, the Netherlands, Norway and Turkey.

Ninety-eight percent of the award will be allocated from fiscal 2023 other customer funds, with the remaining 2 percent sourced from the Navy’s fiscal 2023 weapon procurement funds.
