Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control, or CJADC2, is a highly important part of the Department of Defense’s strategy for the future. It envisions a state of unification where all military communications and technology systems are interconnected and operate seamlessly. There are a host of topics that need to be urgently discussed in relation to CJADC2, so the Potomac Officers Club is rising to the occasion and providing a venue to do so in the new year.
The Achieving Transformative Cooperation for National Defense Forum will be held at the beautiful 2941 Restaurant in Falls Church, Virginia on March 14. The event is brought to you in partnership with Ultra Intelligence and Communications and Red Hat, two organizations steadfastly dedicated to helping the DOD build a unified network. Register for the event here!
This golden networking opportunity will feature three keynote speeches and a panel. The closing keynote will be from the Honorable Christopher Lowman, assistant secretary of defense for sustainment. Lowman served in the U.S. Army in a series of civilian roles that steadily escalated in responsibility, culminating in a stint as acting under secretary of the Army. He will draw on expertise in logistics, operations and logistics management.
Dr. Rhys Williams, executive director of the Defense Threat Reduction Agency, will be providing the opening keynote. An authority on technology’s utility in national security, Dr. Williams is a level 3 acquisition professional and has received a Presidential Rank Award. Previous to his work at the DTRA, he was a fixture in both the DOD’s Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Research and Engineering and the Department of Energy’s National Nuclear Security Administration.
Finally, Rear Adm. Anthony Rossi, director of the Navy International Programs Office in the Office of the Secretary of the Navy will be bringing extensive experience from the Navy service branch — both onshore and at sea — comparable to Lowman’s perspective from the Army (both served in their respective branches for over 30 years). Rossi has received the Legion of Merit twice, the Meritorious Service Medal four times and the Navy Achievement Medal, among other decorations.
