Joey Lauffer, formerly a director at technology company Google, has been appointed chief growth officer at BTI360, a provider of software capabilities to federal customers.
The Herndon, Virginia-based software company said Tuesday Lauffer will be in charge of the teams handling talent acquisition and business development.
At Google, Lauffer had helped spur the company’s federal and public sector business, while at the information technology business of aerospace and defense corporation General Dynamics (NYSE: GD) — another prior employer — Lauffer managed government programs and portfolios.
MJ Wivell, CEO of BTI360, described Lauffer as “a perfect fit” for the position of CGO because of his professional background and because he possesses “a strategic mindset.”
For his part, Lauffer said he was excited to join BTI360 and described his appointment as “a dream situation” because it gives him the chance to apply his learnings “to an organization with a culture that will enable more customer success.”
