Rob Zitz Enters 2nd Decade as Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 Space Mission Assurance Group Chairman

Rob Zitz, an executive with an impressive combination of public and private sector experience, has secured the chairman role in Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 Space Mission Assurance Group.

It is Zitz’s 11th consecutive year leading the group, which is concerned with the government’s collaborative work with private industry to complete and exceed benchmarks in the space domain. The sector has become increasingly competitive and important during Zitz’s tenure and the 2023-2024 season is set to be the most vital yet for fruitful discussion and setting space-related plans into motion.

The 4×24 Leadership Series is a fixture of the government contracting industry: it fosters long-lasting linkages to the government through speaking engagements hosted at monthly dinner meetings. These dinners are refined and congenial in mood and atmosphere, humming with new professional connections and productive conversation and fueled by the passion of those involved. This passion and a sense of mutual respect are ensured by the structure of 4×24’s groups: they are delineated by experience level and subject matter expertise. “This era of space exploration is defined by endless commercial opportunities, an increasingly urgent need for military presence and a rapid thrust toward technological acceleration. Space missions and space assets are critical and top-of-mind across the federal government landscape, and we need an innovative, experienced and strategic thought leader to head our 4×24 Space Mission Assurance executive peer group,” issued Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the 4×24 Leadership Series.

“We are thrilled to continue our decade-long partnership with Rob as he returns to lead our best-in-class Space Mission Assurance group for another season of dynamically provocative, impactful and collaborative executive-only dinner sessions,” Garrettson continued.

Zitz’s multifaceted career path gives him the breadth of knowledge he needs to lead exploratory talks about an area as wide-reaching in impact as the space domain. He spent nearly half a decade at the Central Intelligence Agency, where he conducted analysis on future intelligence systems architectures and almost a decade at the National-Geospatial Intelligence Agency, where he was director of plans, programs and analysis before eventually ascending to its executive committee. Later in his career, Zitz completed stints at Leidos and Maxar Technologies, and he is currently a senior space expert at Exec One, a Los Angeles-based business consulting firm. As a private consultant, Zitz synthesizes this unique background into his work at Robert Zitz & Associates, which he began in 2019, offering counsel to defense, intelligence and homeland security clientele.

Executive Mosaic looks forward to another year of Zitz’s leadership in the 4×24 Space Mission Assurance Group and congratulates him on being the longest running group leader in the program!
