Digital modernization services provider MindPetal has agreed to buy VerticalApps for an undisclosed sum to expand its digital offerings and help federal agency customers advance the adoption of intelligent automation, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
VerticalApps is an Arlington, Virginia-based small business that specializes in intelligent automation, software development, data management and other IT services and helps federal agencies develop bots and applications to support personnel and citizens, MindPetal said Tuesday.
Effective Nov. 1, VerticalApps will operate as a wholly owned subsidiary of MindPetal and its key executives, including Co-Founder Will Choi, Michael Grace and Paul Grace, will join MindPetal’s leadership team.
Choi will serve as chief operating officer, Paul as chief financial officer and Michael as senior vice president for program delivery at MindPetal, a Vienna, Virginia-based provider of enterprise application integration, business process management, Agile solution delivery and cloud support services to federal government customers.
MindPetal COO Michael Agrillo will transition to the role of president of the combined company.
Sony George, CEO of MindPetal, said VerticalApps and its team will enable the company to accelerate growth and deliver value to federal clients.
“Our partnership will allow us to expand our team, share our expertise, and help federal leaders embrace the promise of AI to build better digital experiences,” Choi said of the transaction.
