Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) held an event on Sept. 29 to mark the grand opening of its new facility in Port San Antonio, a technology and innovation hub located in San Antonio, Texas, which houses over 80 tenants.
Leidos said Tuesday that with the move, it aims to expand its employee base in the city, where it already has a presence in the form of subsidiary QTC Management, a provider of health services to military veterans.
In the keynote address delivered during the grand opening, Anil Tailor, Leidos senior vice president for cyber and signals intelligence solutions, said the new facility is expected to result in up to 100 new positions in support of the company’s intelligence and defense groups.
The positions will include software development, cybersecurity and data analytics.
“Leidos is proud to join the agencies and organizations that have helped the Port earn its reputation as a hub of innovation, agility and technological advancement,” Tailor said.
Also in attendance during the grand opening event was Port San Antonio President and CEO Jim Perschbach. He dubbed Leidos as a top technology industry company and said, “We’re creating an environment where there’s a business reason for great companies like Leidos to be here.”
