Defense technology company Cyberlux has acquired Datron World Communications, a provider of tactical communication products, in an effort to broaden its market offerings.
According to a Datron press release issued Friday, Cyberlux CEO Mark Schmidt described the acquisition as “a game-changer” for both parties that will lead to “a stronger, more integrated company that sets new benchmarks in innovation and excellence.”
Schmidt also underscored a shared commitment to driving growth.
For his part, Datron President and CEO Art Barter said he and the company were delighted to become part of Cyberlux and expressed confidence in the ability of Cyberlux to carry on Datron’s legacy into the future.
Datron’s more than five decades of history involves the development of tactical communication products in support of U.S. partners around the world. Its communication offerings have been deployed to 80 countries, including Afghanistan, where the company served as the Afghan National Defense and Security Force’s primary tactical communication supplier.
