Josh Petty, general counsel for Booz Allen Hamilton, has been appointed chair of Executive Mosaic’s 4×24 General Counsel Group.
The 4×24 leadership program offers its members, who represent impactful organizations within the government contracting industry, a space to come together with top federal officials to consider critical U.S. missions. 4×24 dinners empower the sharing of insights between public and private sector leaders as they work to tackle key challenges facing the federal government.
As chair of the General Counsel Group, Petty will guide conversations on the legal element of government contracting. To learn more about the 4×24 program and join this group, click here.
“I am honored to be appointed chairman of the General Counsel 4×24 group,” said Petty. “The General Counsel sessions with senior government attorneys have been invaluable to industry leaders and I am excited to continue the proud tradition and to continue to collaborate with fellow senior in-house attorneys on topics of significant interest given our shared objectives.”
Petty joined Booz Allen Hamilton in 2014 as vice president and deputy general counsel, and has since held several positions of increasing responsibility. In his current role, he oversees the firm’s legal department while working with outside counsel on certain matters. Prior to joining Booz Allen, he was a managing director at Accenture, where he served in multiple senior-level positions within the organization’s legal arm.
“The legal underpinning of the GovCon market forms the bedrock of the industry based on contracts. The executives who expertly navigate the complex legal landscape and constantly evolving compliance requirements are critical to the success of not only their respective firms but of the ecosystem writ large,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the 4×24 leadership program.
“For more than two decades, Josh has demonstrated outstanding legal leadership and delivered innovative general counsel expertise to GovCon firms such as Accenture and now Booz Allen, making him an ideal senior executive to lead our General Counsel 4×24 group. Under Josh’s guidance, we anticipate a season of invigorating growth, insights and achievement within this vital peer group,” Garrettson added.
