Systems Planning and Analysis, a portfolio company of Arlington Capital Partners, has purchased space domain awareness platforms provider PRKK for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its offerings in the space and intelligence sectors.
Established in 2006, PRKK is focused on providing cross-domain analyses and studies for the U.S. Space Force, Intelligence Community, Space Security and Defense Program and the office of the secretary of defense’s strategic capabilities office and has operations in Washington, D.C., at Vandenberg Space Force Base in California and in Colorado Springs, Colorado, SPA said Wednesday.
SPA will integrate PRKK with its space and intelligence division led by senior vice president Bruce Phillips.
SPA CEO Rich Sawchak said PRKK provides rapid warfighter platforms and concepts, threat intelligence analysis, cyber concept development, systems engineering and tailored analytics.
“As SPA’s strategic expansion across the S&I domain continues, we are thrilled to fold PRKK’s highly complementary capabilities into our offerings, further enabling us to deliver specialized analytics and engineering expertise to our national security customers,” added Sawchak.
Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton acted as SPA’s legal counsel in the transaction. Shulman Rogers advised PRKK on the deal’s legal aspect, while Evergreen Advisors Capital served as the company’s investment banking services provider.
