RTX Books $192M Air Force AMRAAM Procurement Contract

The U.S. Air Force has awarded an RTX (NYSE: RTX) subsidiary a $192 million contract to procure Advanced Medium-Range Air-to-Air Missile weapons as part of the Department of Defense-led Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative.

Raytheon will help the Pentagon obtain fielded AMRAAMs from multiple sources for Ukraine’s military, according to a DOD announcement on Thursday.

The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center issued the sole-source award and is obligating $7.7 million in fiscal 2023 USAI funds.

In December 2022, the company booked a $1.2 billion contract to provide additional National Advanced Surface-to-Air Missile Systems with associated equipment and support services for Ukraine as part of the fifth USAI package.
