I look forward to expanding the conversation to include multi-cloud, tactical edge, artificial intelligence and other capabilities powered by the cloud.”
Derr has been with Oracle for more than a decade, and prior to his current position, he served as vice president of hardware solutions for the company’s national security group. Before joining Oracle, Derr held senior leadership roles at Avaya Government Solutions and Nortel Government Solutions. His career also includes more than eight years of service in the U.S. Air Force as a satellite communications technician and a weapon control systems specialist.
“We’re in the midst of a very exhilarating era for cloud computing as government agencies and commercial companies alike migrate with increasing speed to cloud environments,” said Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic and founder of the 4×24 program.
“Steve is a senior leader who understands the momentum and magnitude behind this cloud revolution. As a former Air Force satellite communications technician and an industry executive specializing in cloud, intelligence, national security and technology, Steve is well positioned to guide our Cloud Group in this exciting new season of 4×24 dinners,” Garrettson added.
