BL Harbert International has secured a $210 million contract to build a weapons generation facility at Barksdale Air Force Base in Louisiana over a 40-month period.
The contract covers the construction of five new infrastructures and the renovation of an existing one-story building at the AFB, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
The project is estimated to wrap up by January 2026.
Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command, which serves as the contracting activity, received two bids for the firm-fixed-price contract via a competitive procurement process. It will obligate $109 million from the U.S. Air Force’s fiscal 2023 military construction contract funds at the time of award.
BL Harbert International operates in Birmingham, Alabama, and offers preconstruction, design-build, engineering, construction management and general contracting services to local and international defense and government customers.
